Automotive significance

The change expanded the Scuderia’s role beyond preparing cars for customers. It increasingly took responsibility for competition management and technical development, becoming progressively closer to a works racing department while remaining based in Modena. Alfa Romeo’s museum dates the later formal agreements to 1934 and 1936, so the 1933 shift should be understood as the start of that transition rather than a single instantaneous transfer of every factory function.
