Automotive significance

The arrangement gave Ferrari a more consistent design partner at a time when many cars still received individual coachbuilt bodies. Pinin Farina’s work on the 212 and later the 250 GT helped move Ferrari toward a more coherent visual language and, eventually, more standardised road-car production. The partnership was therefore both stylistic and industrial in significance.
