Automotive significance

The 125 S project marks the point at which Enzo Ferrari’s post-war engineering programme became an automobile carrying his own name. Its front-mounted 60-degree V12 displaced 1,496.77 cc and established an engine architecture that would develop through many early Ferrari racing and road cars. The car’s first competition start would follow at Piacenza in May.
